The
Program (CBAP)
Introduction
In
contrast to the established system of focusing on the signs and symptoms of
illness or disease the Institute is concerned with a health field which is a
broader approach to all health related matters. The four principal elements
are:
These four elements identified as the
etiology of illness and disease (psychosomatic), can be briefly described as
follows:
1. Human
Biology:
"All those aspects of health,
both physical and mental, that are developed within the human body as a consequence of the
basic biological and unique biochemistry of the individual". This includes genetic
inheritance, processes of growth, maturation processes, aging, and the function of the
twelve organ/tissue systems of the human body.
2. Environment:
"All those factors relating to health
that are external to the human body over which the individual has little or no
control". Examples include industrial pollutants which determine air quality, the food
supply, and water supply.
3. Life-style:
"The life-style variables such
as eating habits, exercise patterns, relaxation and socio-cultural practices over which the
individual more or less has control". That is to say,
that are most easily modifiable given
the education and motivation.
4.
Predictive-Preventive Medicine:
Which may be defined
as the clinical discipline designed to anticipate disease in the individual and to
prevent the occurrence before it manifests in classical form. A historical and classical
example was given by Hippocrates the Greek physician (650BC)
Hippocrates
recognised the correlation between obesity, menstrual
aberrations and infertility in the
female. It is now well documented but rarely promoted, that a woman who gives birth to an
infant weighing 4kg (9lb) or more is pre-diabetic for later Stage II Diabetes. The
unforgivable tragedy is that very few are forewarned about a mostly preventable killer
disease. Biological Medicine is about accepting responsibility for one's own state of
health.
It was from this concept that the program
was developed. It is important to understand that the program does not diagnose disease
per se. Rather, the program illuminates areas for concern and modification and shares
information which will assist the individual, was from this concept that the Computerised
Biological Analysis to achieve an improvement in health and quality of life.
Here are the
essentials of the program:
(a)
Biographical Questionnaire
(b) Comprehensive Health
Assessment Questionnaire
(c) Biochemical
The Biographical questionnaire begins
with the Holmes-Rahe Life Changes Questionnaire and will cover genetic health history,
current medical history, medications, tobacco and alcohol usage, hard drugs usage,
exercise, rest, and energy expenditure patterns, percentage body fat and current
symptoms..
The Comprehensive Health Assessment Questionnaire will
include assessment of your individual health status covering the twelve organ/tissue
systems of the human body and more.
The Biochemical Status includes ABO Blood
Type, Glucose Tolerance, Gut Toxicity, Thyroid Function.
The Institute has proven this system and the protocols
in thousands of individual patients, always with predictable
improvement in the
quality of life of the individual. We also guarantee a significant saving in future
health-care costs.
